Wendall L. Washington, 53, of Hodgen, died Saturday, May 12, 2012, in Poteau.
Wendall was born Sept. 18, 1958, in Lawton to Everett and Charlene Washington. A longtime area resident, he loved hunting and fishing and was a graduate of Heavener High School. He worked in the Parks Department for the City of Poteau. His father preceded him in death.
Wendall is survived by his wife, Rhonda; a daughter and son-in-law, Staci and Allen Judd of Buttermilk, Ark.; a son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Jennifer Massey of Rogers, Ark.; mother and stepfather, Charlene and Junior King of Poteau; four brothers and their wives, Rick and Julia of Poteau, Roger and Wilma of Tahlequah, Travis and Cyndi of Talihina and Eric and Doreen of Jenks; a sister, Lisa Washington of Howe; five grandchildren, Devan and Dylan Massey, Justin Via, Breanna Burfield and Aubrey Parish.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home, Heavener.
