What a way to end the softball season

There's no better way to end the fast-pitch softball season for LeFlore County than the way it did Saturday afternoon at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. The Panama Lady Razorbacks won the Class 2A State Tournament.
The only other way things could have ended better would have been to see the Wister Wildcats win the Class A Fall State Tournament and the Poteau Lady Pirates make this week's Class 4A State Tournament — and win it.
Still, needless to say it was a great fall season with two teams making state, and two other teams — the Lady Pirates and the Cameron Yellowjackets — get within a win of making state. Congratulations to all of you for making this one heck of a fun time for this ol' man!
College Signings
Just a word to you coaches and parents. If any senior player will be signing a letter of intent in the future to play college ball, please let me know. I will attend the signing and do a story about it, talking to the signee, his or her coach and — if applicable — talk to his or her soon-to-be college coach. I truly need at least 24-hour notice, preferably even greater, when and where the signing will be so I can arrange my schedule to comply.
