Last May, Poteau High School golfer Hannah Ward three-peated as Class 4A state champion to end her prep career. Last weekend, two golfers did likewise.
Ward's coach, Randall Wheat and Jonathan Spikes of Danville, Ark., won their third straight Spider Webb Invitational, which took place Saturday and Sunday at Wolf Ridge and Choctaw country clubs.
Wheat and Spikes shot 66s on each day to win by three strokes over the duo of Kale Holton and Jason May, 132 to 135.
