White-Burgess duo wins 'Team Whitney' Golf Benefit Saturday afternoon; Event raised $4,000 for Whitney Spangler's medical expenses for craniopharyngioma

The team of Scotty White and Jonathan Burgess won the “Team Whitney” Benefit Golf Tournament Saturday at Wolf Ridge Golf Course with a score of 10-under par.
The Panama softball coaching tandem of Grant Ralls and Jamie Hoffmann were second at 7-under.
Tying for third at 4-under were Cody Shore and Kale Holton as well as Josh and Joe Tackett.
There was also a tie for fifth place at 3-under between Hoss Delaplank and Kevin Traywick as well as Brian Free and Jose Chavez.
Robbie Ellis and Billy Hoffman were seventh (-2), while David White and Weylin Groom were eighth (+1).
Robbie and Robert Turner as well as the team of Matt Reeves and Jake Thompson tied for ninth (+2), while Jerry Green and Bodie May tied for 11th with Michael Bailey and Tony Ramirez (+7).
The tournament was to help raise funds for Whitney Spangler, who has been diagnosed with craniopharyngioma, which causes tumors in the center of her brain. The treatement for the disease is a left frontal craniotomy to resect as much as possible from her second tumor which now has appeared.
Spangler's first tumor was removed through operation and radioactive treatment in March 2010, but new tumors have appeared.
They tournament raised close to $4,000 to help out with the medical expenditures.
