Whitesboro boys capture Class B District Tournament

BUFFALO VALLEY — The Whitesboro Bulldogs baseball team took the first step in a repeat trip to the fall state tournament Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs defeated the Leflore Savages 15-6 in Friday afternon's title game to win the Class B District Tournament.
The ’Dogs (13-13) will be in the Class B Regional Tournament at Red Oak, along with host Eagles, Stuart and Coleman. The champion and consolation champion will advance to next week's Class B State Tournament.
The Savages end the season at 11-11.
Whitesboro won their first two games of the tournament on Thursday, 10-0 over host Buffalo Valley and an 11-10 come-from-behind win over the Savages.
Leflore eliminated Buffalo Valley with a 4-1 win in the first elimination game.
