Whitesboro boys lose title game, Lady Bulldogs third at Rock Island Conference Shootout

The Whitesboro Bulldogs split their two games in the 2014 Rock Island Conference Shootout. The ‘Dogs downed the Buffalo Valley Buffaloes 54-40 Friday night in Whitesboro, but lost the title game 49-37 to the Red Oak Eagles on Saturday night at Eastern Oklahoma State College's Claud C. Dunlap Fieldhouse in Wilburton.
The Lady Bulldogs also split their two games in the weekend event. After losing 58-44 to the Kinta Lady Eagles in the championship semifinals Friday night on their home court, the Lady Bulldogs beat Clayton 56-36 to win third place at EOSC.
