Whitesboro boys in Saturday night's regional final, will play in area tournament; Lady Bulldogs tried to stay alive Friday night

WILBURTON — The Whitesboro Bulldogs are not only a win away from a regional title, but assured another week of hoops.
The ’Dogs handled the Buffalo Valley Buffaloes 44-29 in the Class B Regional Tournament on Thursday night at the Wilburton High School Gym.
The Bulldogs will play Moyers here at 8 p.m. Saturday for the regional title, but both teams will advance to next week's area tournament at Ada High School's Cougar Activity Center.
The news wasn't as good for the Lady Bulldogs, who lost 44-21 to the Lady Buffaloes on Thursday night.
Whitesboro's girls played Victory Life in Friday night's consolation finals, with the winner playing for the consolation championship here at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for a trip to the Class B Area Tournament.
