Whitesboro boys split games in Class B District Tournament; Bulldogs in elimination game at regional tournament Thursday afternoon against Battiest in Stringtown

February 15, 2012

WHITESBORO — The good news for the Whitesboro Bulldogs is they won a game at the Class B District Tournament last weekend at the Whitesboro Gym. The not-so-good news was that the ’Dogs lost the championship game Saturday night.
After beating the Eagletown Eagles 58-49 in Friday night's elimination game, the ’Dogs had a late rally which came up short in Saturday night's district championship contest as they lost 59-56 to the Moyers Tigers.
The Bulldogs will play an elimination game in the Class B Regional Tournament at 3 p.m. Thursday in Stringtown against the Battiest Panthers. The winner will advance to the consolation semifinals on Friday at Moss High School near Holdenville with another win putting it into Saturday afternoon's consolation championship — and a trip to next week's Class B Area Tournament at Kingston.
