WHITESBORO — The Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs claimed the top prize in the Class B District Tournament with a 46-36 win over Eagletown Eagles Saturday night at the Whitesboro Gym.
The Lady Bulldogs only had a 3-2 lead after the opening period, but they stretched their advantage to 17-12 at halftime.
After leading 27-22 after three periods, the Lady Bulldogs opened the final quarter with a 11-6 run to stretch their advantage to 10 points at 38-28 with 2:40 left to play to put the game away.
Editor's Note — Due to LeFlore County high schools being snowed out on Monday, not all the information on other Friday and/or Saturday games was available. If that information is obtained today, look for stories on those contests in Wednesday's edition.
