Whitesboro teams sweep district titles, play Buffalo Valley squads Thursday night at regional tournament

February 19, 2014

WHITESBORO — The Whitesboro High School basketball teams earned some hardware Friday night as they won the Class B District Tournament, posting wins over Kinta. The ’Dogs downed the Eagles 61-41, while the Lady Bulldogs took care of the Lady Eagles 50-32.
Both Whitesboro teams will play Buffalo Valley Thursday night in the Class B Regional Tournament at the Wilburton High School Gym, with the girls playing at 6:30 p.m. and the boys at 8 p.m. Wins by either or both will not only put them into Saturday night's title games at the same site, but will also automatically qualify them to make the area tournament as no worse than regional runners-up.
