WISTER — Everybody left somewhat satisfied after Friday's three-way baseball action with the host Wildcats entertaining the Whitesboro Bulldogs and the Oktaha Tigers.
In the only game where LeFlore County teams met, the Bulldogs blanked the Wildcats 2-0.
In the middle game, the ’Dogs' rally came up short as they were outlasted 15-11 by the Tigers, who then lost the final game of the three-way as the ’Cats beat them 7-2.
Monday Games Canceled Due to Wet Fields
The weekend rain showers still could be felt on Monday, as far as fast-pitch softball and baseball games were concerned as several games were canceled due to wet fields. Softball games postponed due to wet fields were Poteau at Sallisaw, Heavener at Wister and Panama at Spiro with no make-up date scheduled.
Howe's home baseball doubleheader with McCurtain was postponed Monday afternoon due to wet fields as was Wister's home game with Red Oak; the game tried to be played at Red Oak, but the field was to wet for the game to be played. None of the games will not be made up.
