Wickware, Warner win first LCBC Tournament of 2014

The LeFlore County Bass Club had its first tournament of the 2014 circuit Saturday at Grasshopper Landing on Broken Bow Lake. There were 24 boats with 42 anglers who caught 21 fish weighing 53.86 pounds. Each fish averaged 2.56 pounds, and only one limit was caught.
Jason Wickware and Russ Warner won the event, hauling in 13.78 pounds to earn $525.
Eric Fairless and Josh Walls were second with 10.22 pounds, which included Fairless' big bass winner that weighed 5.36 pounds. Fairless and Walls pocketed $315 for coming in runners-up, and Fairless got an additional $210 for the big bass winner.
Kevin Bell and Jesse Patton were third (8.63 pounds, $210).
The club's next tournament will be Feb. 16 on Chicken Creek on Lake Tenkiller. You have until March 8 to join the club. For additional information, call “The Jody Ray Fishing Hotline” at (918) 649-7387.
