Willie Jean Hunt, 84, of Poteau died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, in Poteau. Willie was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Panama to Willie E. and Edna (Reeves) Goff. She was a secretary for Casa Bonita. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Russel Hunt.
Survivors include her daughters, Jean Lane and Laurel Cockrell of Stockton, Mo.; sons, Chuck Hunt and wife Pam of Moore, Condy Wells and wife Barbara of Shady Point, Reggie Wells and wife Dale Ann of Shady Point; grandchildren, Terry Johnson and wife Jane of Tulsa, Zachary Wells of Shady Point, Cindy Flowers and husband Kevin of Fort Worth, Texas, Stephanie and husband Todd Robinson of Hartford, Ark., Kelsey Wells of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Armistead and husband Chris of Tulsa, Michael Gray of Poteau, Tommy Gray of Oklahoma City, Ashley Hunt of Eufaula; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Elva Joyce Shelby of Fort Smith, Ark.; other relatives and loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at First Baptist Church in Shady Point with the Rev. Larry Matthiesen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Panama. Pallbearers will be Zac Wells, Michael Gray, Tom Gray, Bradlee Robinson, Chris Armistead and Randy Smith.
The family will visit with relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
