Wister High School's archery team has qualified for the national shoot next month in Louisville, Ky. Wister School is providing transportation and at least $1,000 for the trip, but it is going to cost a bit more. So, coach John McAlester and I are having some fundraisers to help with the expenses.
The team will sell barbecue baskets at the Wister Baseball Invitational Tournament on Friday. On Sunday, the team will have a pie auction at the Wister cafeteria at 2 p.m. Also, the archery team will have a rib sale on April 20 with orders due Sunday.
Any donations or baked goods for the auction will be accepted, so help out these kids. These seniors are the group of kids that started the Archery in the Schools Program at Wister several years ago when they were in junior high. If you would like to help out, contact me or Wister School.
