Wister boys make county winner’s-bracket final; title game set for Sunday afternoon

The defending LeFlore County Tournament champion Wister Wildcats are two wins from successfully defending their title.
The Wildcats blanked the Spiro Bulldogs 4-0 Friday afternon in Cameron to make it to today’s 1 p.m. winner’s-bracket final against the winner of the Poteau-Cameron game, which took place Friday night in Cameron.
The Whitesboro Bulldogs, the Panama Razorbacks and the Heavener Wolves stayed alive in early action on Friday.
The Bulldogs beat Pocola 8-2 and Howe 15-5 on Friday afternoon in Cameron to stay alive at least until Friday night as they faced Friday’s Poteau-Cameron loser
The Razorbacks handled the Arkoma Mustangs 13-0, while the Wolves did likewise with the Leflore Savages by the score of 11-1 at Poteau High School’s Town Creek Park.
The Hogs and the Wolves played an elimination game Friday night at Town Creek Park with the winner meeting the Spiro-Wister loser immediately afterward.
Three games will be played this afternoon, with the Spiro-Wister winner meeting the Poteau-Cameron winner at 1 p.m. The loser will play in the third-place game at 5 p.m.
The game to determine who ends up fourth will take place at 3 p.m.
The championship game is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, with the if-game at 3 p.m.
