Wister City Council approves moving radio repeater

January 8, 2013

Wister City Council approved paying half the cost to move a radio repeater and antenna during their regular meeting held Monday night.

Wister City Council met Monday night for their regular monthly meeting. During the meeting trustees discussed paying $1,500 of the $3,000 cost to move the towns radio repeater and antenna to a new location.
According to the Wister Fire Chief, Wister Schools will pay the remaining $1,500 for the relocation since they use the system for transportation communication.
The current location of the repeater and antenna is near Fisherman's Corner. After a unanimous approval of the payment by the trustees, the system will be moved to Johnson Avenue.
