Wister girls go undefeated to win district title; 2013 season ends for Pocola Lady Indians

WISTER — The Wister Lady Wildcats took the first step to making the Class 4A State Tournament.The Lady ‘Cats won the Class 4A District Tournament on Tuesday by going undefeated, beating Pocola 8-0 and Coalgate twice by scores of 8-4 and 1-0 with the latter game giving the locals the district championship.The Lady Wildcats (18-11) will find out on Monday their Class 4A Regional Tournament fate from the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association.The season ended for the Lady Indians as after they lost to Wister, they fell 9-4 to Coalgate.
