March 16, 2012

While Wister High School, and most of LeFlore County's schools for that matter, will be on Spring Break next week, Preston High School is on Spring Break this week.
Thus, the two-day Preston Festival is taking place this week, and the today's final day involves the Lady Wildcats.
Wister, which was scheduled to play in a three-way Thursday at Pocola along with Sallisaw, will meet Henryetta at 12:30 p.m. this afternoon, then meet host Preston at 5 p.m. and Tecumseh at 6:30 p.m.
The Wister junior varsity will play Tecumseh's JV at 2 p.m.
Talihina Boys' Game Moved to Noon
The Talihina Golden Tigers baseball team moved this afternoon's home game up to a noon start against Valliant.
Then, Talihina will be in the Broken Bow Tournament Monday through Wednesday next week. The Golden Tigers will play their first two days' worth of games in Idabel.
Talihina will meet Idabel at 4 p.m. Monday, then face Ashdown, Ark., at noon and Caddo at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Talihina's opponent, time and site for Wednesday will be determined by how it does in these three games.
