Wister officer reprimanded after arrest of 18 people.

A Wister police officer is facing repercussions after arresting several young adults on alcohol-related charges Thursday night.
According to Wister Chief of Police Randy Liles, officer Jordan Westbrook has been formally reprimanded for violating agency policy when he arrested a large group of people between the ages of 18-21 the night of Dec. 13. Most were students at Carl Albert State College in Poteau.
Westbrook arrested 18 people from the party, charging 16 with minor in possession of alcohol, and two with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
In the wake of the multiple arrests, Liles said he has issued a letter, changing the department's policy involving the handling of underage drinkers when not involved in a driving violation.
According to Liles, Westbrook received a formal written reprimand and will be expected to participate in additional training.
