Wister outfielder makes All-State Baseball Team

May 24, 2012

CALEB HILL

The Wister High School Class of 2012's baseball players had quite a way to finish their Wildcat careers. Of their eight baseball seasons in four years, the last five were spent with trips to the state tournament — winning the Class 2A Spring State Tournament in 2011. One of those players got a special honor earlier this week.
Outfielder Caleb Hill was named to the Small East All-State Baseball Team, and he will play during the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Games Week in the last week of July in the Tulsa metropolitan area.
Hill and the Wildcats were 23-3 this past spring, and made it to the Class 2A State Tournament semifinals, where they lost 7-5 to the Silo Rebels.
This past spring, Hill batted .493 with a team-leading five home runs and a team-high 40 runs batted in. He had 36 hits total, which included his five homers, nine doubles and two triples. He had .593 on-base percentage and a .877 slugging percentage.
