Mary Irene Nobles of Poteau died Feb. 14, 2013, in Poteau. She was born June 22, 1930, in Booneville, Ark., to Robert and Nellie (Moore) Phillips. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dedicated member of First Baptist Church, Poteau.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Ray Phillips, Clarence Phillips, Roy Phillips and Argie Phillips.
Irene is survived by her husband of 62 years, Haskell Nobles of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick Nobles and Katherine Conrad of Pleasanton, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Howard Cagle of Poteau; a brother Carl Phillips of San Fernando, Calif.; two sisters, Goldie Suttles and Robbie Catlett both of Booneville; four grandchildren, Carey and Amy Cagle of Poteau, Cara and Matt Yakel of Moore, Peter Nobles and Clarie Nobles both of Pleasanton, Calif.; six great-grandchildren, Dominic Springwater, Hunter Springwater, Rowan Cagle, Keagan Yakel, Kate Yakel and Caleb Yakel; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
