CROWDER — The Howe Lions will play at least one more afternoon. They hope they will take home some hardware this afternoon, and punch a ticket to Wilburton.
The Lions routed the Vanoss Wolves 62-37 Friday afternoon in the consolation semifinals of the Class 2A Regional Tournament.
The Lions (21-8) will meet the winner of Friday night’s Silo-Rattan winner at 3 this afternoon for the consolation championship, and a trip to next week’s Class 2A Area Tournament at the Wilburton High School gym.
The season ended for the Wister Lady Wildcats as they lost their consolation semifinal 50-35 to the Silo Lady Rebels on Thursday afternoon. Wister ends the season at 12-17.
The Howe Lady Lions suffered their first playoff loss of the season Thursday night, losing 71-40 to the Preston Lady Pirates.
The Lady Lions (19-8) played in Friday night’s consolation semifinals against Caddo, with that winner playing for the consolation championship at 1:30 this afternoon for the right to advance to next week’s Class 2A Area Tournament at the Wilburton High School gym.
