As I wrote this week's column, my wife, Paula, and I are in Tennessee on Spring Break vacation with Cash and his buddy, Jeffery Morris. Our first stop was near Dover which is just south of “The Land Between the Lakes” [LBL] as it's called. This is a piece of land between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.
One thing I found interesting was that in the separate two places we visited, the officials were not only OK with all-terrain vehicle riding (such as in the LBL) in a National Recreation Area. They promoted the activity. There were about 15 or 20 people who camped at the same resort as us, and they rode every day around Lake Kentucky. I am going to find out why our ATV riding has been taken away when it is still allowed elsewhere.
Have a great week!
