Once again, the Poteau Lady Pirates earned the title of LeFlore County’s queens of the softball diamond.
The Lady Pirates defeated the Pocola Lady Indians 7-1 in Tuesday night’s title game of the 2013 LeFlore County Slow-Pitch Tournament at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex.
It was a rougher go for the Lady Pirates in the winner’s bracket final earlier, having to rally past the Lady Indians 4-2.
The Lady Indians reached the title game by winning the loser’s bracket final 9-4 over Wister, which eliminated Panama 5-4 in the consolation semifinal contest.
In the two loser’s bracket quarterfinals, Wister blanked Howe 10-0, while Panama outlasted Heavener 12-10.
