OKLAHOMA CITY — James Harden finally decided to show up with his “A” game in Oklahoma City, and the Houston Rockets showed some composure in Game 2 of their Western Conference opening-round playoff series Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena. In the end, though, the Thunder was still just too much for the Rockets — at least at home as OKC escaped with a 105-102 victory.
Harden dropped in 36 points, a game high, but Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant scored 29 points apiece. Serge Ibaka finished with 12 points, 11 boards and six blocks for the Thunder.
The Rockets ability to stay in the game throughout shows that they have a chance to win a game or two when the series resumes Saturday at Houston.
