OKLAHOMA CITY — With the loss of Russell Westbrook after Game 2, the Oklahoma City Thunder has struggled in the past two games, especially in key moments.
In Game 5 Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena, the Thunder was looking for more consistency from its defense, and a chance to close the series up. Houston's 3-point percentage has steadily gone up through the first four games, and was at 44 percent in Game 4 on Monday night in Houston.
Former Thunder player James Harden ensured that trend would continue as he hit his first seven 3-point baskets en route to a 31-point, eight-rebound performance, and the Rockets led for most of the game as they defeated the Thunder 107-100 to pull within 3-2 in the series.
Game 6 is tonight in Houston.
