John Robert "Bob" Gee of McCurtain, 66, died away Monday, July 29, 2013 at his home, where he loved the view and astonishing variety of wildlife.
He was born Aug. 15, 1946, in Shreveport, La., to Arthur Johnson Gee and Josephine (Shaw) Gee. He graduated from Poteau High School in 1963. He attended Oklahoma Central University in Oklahoma City and worked for Tinker Air Force Base before moving to McCurtain in 1978 and starting Bob Gee Sales.
He is survived by a son, John Gee of Tulsa; his mother, Jo Gee of Fort. Smith, Ark.; two sisters, Linda Murry of Fort Smith and Beverly Kidd of Jenks; and four grandchildren, Braden Ballard, Dryden Gee, Brooks Gee, and Dakota Gee.
Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather (Gee) Ballard, and his father, Arthur Gee.
He retired from the wholesale auto parts business in 2010. He enjoyed spending time being amazed by Mother Nature, reading, enjoying music and movies and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at First United Methodist Church in Poteau. The family will visit with friends after the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
