Then there were two — two teams undefeated, that is, in the 2013 LeFlore County Junior High Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament, which is taking place at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex.
Spiro and Heavener will play in the winner's-bracket final at 5 today for the right to get to the 7:20 p.m. championship game, where that team must be beaten twice — which would mean that the 8:30 p.m. if-game will be necessary.
Spiro beat Poteau/Pansy Kidd Middle School, while Heavener got past Wister in the two championship semifinals Tuesday night.
Poteau/PKMS and Wister also are still alive as they each won their loser's-bracket semifinals Tuesday night. The Lady Raiders downed Panama, while the Lady Wildcats got past Pocola.
In other consolation action Tuesday, the Lady Razorbacks and the Lady Indians each went 2-1. Panama beat Leflore and Arkoma before losing to the Lady Raiders, while Pocola defeated Whitesboro and Cameron before falling to the Lady ‘Cats.
The Lady Mustangs got past Talihina before losing to Panama, while Cameron defeated Howe before falling to Pocola.
