A local business owner who has been fighting for his life since Oct. 5 will be the recipient of the proceeds of an upcoming benefit.
Coopy White, owner of the Coopy's Body Shop, was found in his home Oct. 7, unconscious with a severe head injury after falling from his bedroom balcony. When unable to reach her father by phone for a couple of days, White's daughter Brandy called on friends to check on her father. LeFlore County Deputies were called to White's home to discover him critically injured. LeFlore County Emergency Medical Services treated White until the arrival of a medical helicopter that took him to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. White is listed in critical condition.
In response to White's condition and extended stay in the Tulsa hospital, friends and family have rallied to hold a benefit to help White and his family with medical expenses.
