Haven Perry, senior, was crowned Miss Poteau High School 2014 on Saturday in the Bob Lee Kidd Civic Center.
Twenty-one girls participated in the pageant.
Mikalyn Reif, junior, was first runner-up; Morgan Giles, senior, was second runner-up; Tabi Waldrop, junior, was third runner-up; and Sunnie McConnell, sophomore, was fourth runner-up.
Montana Roll, senior, was voted Miss Congeniality by the other contestants. Jonelle Edwards, freshman, received Miss Photogenic. Nicole Chavez, freshman, won the evening wear and Perry won casual wear and crowd pleaser. Seniors Taylor Rutledge and Maria Hurtado also made the top seven.
“I was so excited and shocked when I won,” Perry said. “I want to thank my mom and Mrs. Davies for all their help. I am pumped to come back next year and see everyone.”
The Miss PHS Pageant is a fundraiser hosted by the Silver Steppers Dance Team. The team is raising money to attend the national competition in the spring. The group will host a Mr. PHS Pageant on Monday, Nov. 18.
