POCOLA — For those who play baseball and are a left-handed pitcher, there's always going to be a desire by a coach to seek his services. Connors State College in Warner was doing just that when they came upon Pocola senior lefty Connor Mangham, who the Cowboys signed in a ceremony Wednesday morning inside the high school lobby in front of Mangham's baseball teammates and Lady Indian softball players.
“The head coach [Perry Keith] made me feel at home at Connors State,” Mangham said. “It's a nice campus in Warner. It's a good baseball team. I feel that I can start playing immediately. I think I'm going to be able to fit in really nice there. It's not a big town. It's a small-town place like [Pocola]. I think it's the best choice I could have made.”
