While the Class A and B playoffs will not get started until the end of next week, for four LeFlore County schools — Fanshawe, Hodgen, Monroe and Shady Point — their postseason will begin today with the Organization of Rural Elementary Schools (ORES) playoffs.
Hodgen's teams are in the Division II playoffs, with the Lady Bulldogs playing Krebs at 11 this morning at McAlester's Frink-Chambers Middle School, with the winner playing the Moffett-Liberty winner at 7 p.m. Monday at Liberty School.
The Hodgen-Krebs loser will play an elimination gane at 5 p.m. Monday against the Moffett-Liberty loser.
The ’Dogs will play Liberty at noon today at Frink-Chambers Middle School, with the winner playing the Moffett-Krebs winner at 8 p.m. Monday at Liberty School. The Hodgen-Liberty loser will meet the Moffett-Krebs loser at 6 p.m. Monday in an elimination game at Liberty School.
The Division III playoffs games at Muldrow's Belfonte School involving the Monroe-Shady Point girls game and the Shady Point-Belfonte game was canceled Saturday due to inclement weather. No make-up date has been set.
The Shady Point-Belfonte boys winner was slated to play Monroe at 7 p.m. Monday, but that, too, will likely change.
Fanshawe will be a host site to begin the Division IV playoffs, with both teams entertaining Whitefield in elimination games at noon and 1 this afternoon. The winners will meet Stilwell's Dahlonegah School at 6 p.m. (girls) and 7 p.m. (boys) Monday at Fanshawe. The Fanshawe-Whitefield losers will be eliminated.
