Bobby Gerald "Bob" Wann, 72, died Friday, March 7, 2014, in Big Sandy, Texas.
Bob Wann was born July 13, 1941, to Marie Holderfield Wann and Harold "Buster" Wann and grew to adulthood in Fanshawe. He was passionate about people, achievement and horses. These passions manifested in his love of sport: baseball, basketball, track and achieving high levels of personal performance.
He held careers as a grade school and high school teacher and coach, dairy farmer, horseshoer/farrier and was a noted equine chiropractor. Dr. Bob's skill with horses was a gift, improving their performance on the track and making sick and injured animals sound. He shared this skill with numerous people over the decades individually and at the college level.
Bob Wann is survived by his best friend and companion, Glenda Fenton; four children, Deborah Wann of Dallas, Texas; Connie and husband Lee Everest of Euless, Texas; Wendy and husband Robert Zamani of Denver, Colo; and Brad and wife Amber Wann of Denver; eight grandchildren, Steven Lewis, Megan Zamani, Emily Wann, Sarah Zamani, Michael Zamani, Bailey Wann, Benjamin Wann and Bonnie Wann; four siblings, Jim Wann, Andrea West, Sandy Williams snad Jeff Wann and their extended families.
Graveside services, open to friends and family, will be held will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, March 25, in Summerfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Colorado Epilepsy Foundation in Bob Wann's name are suggested to support his grandson, Benjamin, who has battled epilepsy since age 2.
Bob was taken too soon for those who loved him but each soul is grateful for the time they had.
