Skills Competition set for this morning

Monday night was the Major League Baseball All-Star Game's Home Run Derby. This morning, several youth will get to participate in one, and then some.
The Skills Competition, which will include a home run derby, a pitching competition and a base-running competition, will take place beginning at 11 a.m. this morning at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex.
The pitching competition is to see who can throw the fastest pitch, while the base-running competition will see who is the fastest from second base to home plate.
Each team could have as many as three to four competitors, and action will be done in time for today's 2 p.m. game to begin Day 2 of the 2011 OK Kids Midget State Tournament.
