We went to the Alma (Ark.) Waterpark Monday night for Immanuel Baptist Church's “Back-to-School Bash.” It was fun, and I could hardly walk the next day from all those slides I went down. I was really impressed with 63-year-old Alanna Stinson. I think she rode every slide there — even “The Toilet Bowl.” She's great!
Strike-A-Lot bowling alley presents the “Dawg Days of Summer” — free hot dogs with a paid bowling game. I have to take a little time off from bowling because I did something to my elbow last Friday at our lunch bowling match, but I did finally beat Cornel Reece in our first game by a mere two pins. Shoot, I may have to join a league this fall since I have developed such great bowling skills!

As you read this, my family is enjoying one more summer trip to Branson, Mo. — as we return once more to Big Cedar Lodge. I'll see y'all when we get back.
