RED OAK — During Wednesday afternoon's game in the Eagle Classic, Cameron Baseball Coach Kevin Lomon asked Tournament Director and Red Oak Coach Trey Booth if he could start the contest all over once more. Lomon and the Yellowjackets would have done anything to get an answer of yes.
The Oktaha Tigers blasted the ’Jackets for nine runs in the first inning en route to a 12-0, three-inning, run-rule victory in the opening round of the Classic at Eagle Field.
The Yellowjackets (3-3) will play at noon today against the loser of Wednesday afternoon's Smithville-Red Oak game in an elimination contest. The winner will advance to the 11 a.m. Saturday consolation semifinal with the chance to play for the consolation championship at 1 p.m. Saturday. Today's loser will be eliminated from the tournament.
