POCOLA — The Pocola Lady Indians ended the week with a home victory over the Keota Lady Lions by a score of 6-3 Thursday afternoon.
Wister 9, McCurtain 3; Wister 17, McCurtain 5: Thursday in McCurtain, the Lady Wildcats (10-8) ran their winning streak to four games by sweeping their Green Country Conference foes.
Pocola 7, Sallisaw-Central 4: Tuesday in Panama, after losing to the host Lady Razorbacks, the Lady Indians bounced back with a comeback win.
Clayton 16, Leflore 15: Thursday in Clayton, the Lady Savages (1-5) jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the opening inning, thanks in part to Alicia Taylor's grand-slam home run which was her first homer of the season.
But the Lady Bulldogs, who trailed 11-7 in the fourth inning, scored eight runs to take a 15-11 lead.
After Leflore scored four runs in the fifth inning to tie the game at 15-15, Clayton scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The Lady Savages has had Tuesday afternoon's home game canceled against Kinta — which does not have enough players to play the game.
