After almost a month away from getting to perform in front of their fans, the Talihina Golden Tigers will get to play their home opener — finally.
The Golden Tigers (2-0) will entertain the Sallisaw-Central Tigers at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Doc Robinson Stadium.
“We're excited about being in our home opener,” Talihina Coach Kelly Gravitt said. “The kids are excited. We haven't been beaten at home for a long time, except in the playoffs last year (to Colcord). There's a longtime tradition here at 'The Pit.' The kids have had a good week of practice. They're looking forward to playing in front of the home crowd.”
