HOWE — In a battle of Lady Lions, LeFlore County's felines ruled supreme as Howe handled Keota 57-27 Tuesday night at the Howe Gym.
Spiro 59, Haskell 47: At Muskogee Bedouin Shrine Classic, the win put the Lady Bulldogs (5-3) into Friday night's championship semifinals against Oktaha at 4:30 p.m., with the winner playing for the small school championship at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. A loss will drop them into the third-place game at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Hartshorne 58, Heavener 28: In Hartshorne, the Lady Miners jumped out to an 18-5 lead after one period and never looked back. The Lady Wolves (3-5) did cut the deficit to nine points in the second quarter, but they got no closer.
Editor's Note — The Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs received a first-round bye in today's opening round of the Rock Island Conference Tournament in Red Oak. The Lady Bulldogs will play the winner of tonight's Buffalo Valley-Clayton game at 7 p.m. Friday in the championship semifinals. Whitesboro Girls Coach Bryan Cartwright said that the game may be moved to Leflore.
