LEFLORE — Thanks to a strong third period, the Bokoshe Lady Tigers were able to keep the Leflore Lady Savages at bay to post a 40-30 win Thursday night at the Leflore Gym.
Arkoma 54, McCurtain 34: In McCurtain, the Lady Mustangs led pretty much from start to finish, jumping out to an 18-11 lead after one period.
Gans 68, Cameron 27: In Gans, in a game which was rescheduled for Thursday night from Nov. 18, 2011, due to the Grizzlies being in the Class B football playoffs, it did not seem to bother the host Lady Grizzlies one bit. Gans jumped out to a 16-7 lead after one period and 14-4 in the second quarter to take a 30-11 lead at halftime.
Wilburton 61, Panama 29: In Wilburton, the Lady Diggers took advantage of a depleted Lady Razorback team, which was disseminated by illness. The Lady Diggers jumped out to a 13-3 lead on the Lady ’Backs after one period en route to a 17-8 lead at halftime. Wilburton then outscored Panama 44-21 in the second half to win going away.
In Thursday's edition, a Heavener Lady Wolf basketball player was misidentified in a photograph. The Heavener player was Logan Hinds.
