The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) LeFlore County Longbeard Banquet will be March 8 at the Bob Lee Kidd Civic Center. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The NWTF is a national non-profit organization that is the leader in upland wildlife habitat conservation in North America. The organization includes outdoors-minded individuals who care deeply about our natural resources, and the wild places we love to hunt.
Since 1985, the NWTF's volunteers and partners have invested more than $372 million on projects to help wildlife agencies trap and relocate turkeys to areas of suitable habitat, and improve the health of our nation's forests and woodlands. These banquets raise the money to support continuing efforts to conserve wild turkeys, and other game and non-game species.
We are very fortunate to have such an active and caring chapter of people right here in LeFlore County being a part of this nationwide organization.
For tickets, call Russell Barber at (918) 647-8681 or Don Chitwood at (918) 649-7470.
Even if you can’t attend the banquet, there are many other ways you can help the NWTF, so call these individuals for more information on how you can help.
