Speaking of turkeys, it is only about six weeks until turkey season. I have been practicing with my Quachita Game Calls mouth calls in preparation for opening day.
If you have not gotten one yet, you need to get on the ball so you can practice up before opening day. Travis Elliott and Jeff McKenzie are the ones to call. If you prefer to email them, the address is Qgc2011@yahoo.com or call Travis at (479) 264-4204 or Jeff at (918) 658-8087.

Wister’s archery teams shot at regional tournament in McAlester last week and were pretty successful. The high school team finished first, and had the top three female shooters and the No. 2 male shooter at the meet.
Jesse Bullard topped the girls' division, followed by her sister, Katie. Candice Yochum claimed the third slot on the female side.
On the male side, Toby Roath was our top finisher coming in second.
The junior high and elementary teams both finished third. Cailey Yochum took top honors in the female division of the elementary. All three teams will compete in the state shoot on March 28 in Oklahoma City.
Have a great week!
