SPIRO — The NCAA Tournament's Final Four ended Monday night with Kentucky beating Kansas to win the national title.
The 2012 LeFlore County Baseball Tournament saw its Final Four — the four teams who are in the winner's-bracket semifinals — get half formed here on Monday.
The Poteau Pirates handled the Pocola Indians 12-3 to end the three-game festivities on Monday night.
The Spiro Bulldogs had little problem with the Heavener Wolves with a 16-3 victory to join the Pirates in the winner's-bracket semifinals.
The day began with the Wolves run ruling the Arkoma Mustangs 12-0.
There will be five games played here today and tonight to compensate for some rainouts on Tuesday.
The first three games will be loser's-bracket games, with Leflore and Pocola playing at 11 a.m., followed by Howe and Panama at 1 p.m. with the winner meeting Heavener at 3 p.m.
The winner's-bracket semifinals will be the night session. Poteau and Wister will play at 5 p.m., followed by Cameron and Spiro at 7 p.m. The winners will play at 6 p.m. Thursday for the right to make it to Friday night's title game.
