Dorthy Ann Williams, 84, of Pocola died peacefully at home with her family on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Dorthy was born March 15, 1928, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Albert Lee and Elva (Howard) Beshears.
She worked in civil service for 24 years and retired from the FAA Center in Oklahoma City after 19 years.
Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donnie Beshears; son-in-law, Don DeSelms; grandson-in-law, Stephen Medley. Her love for her family and her faith is a legacy that her children and grandchildren cherish and value.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Edgar of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sherry and Randy Gunter of Fort Smith, Sally DeSelms of Pocola; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard and Rennie Williams of Panama, Randall and Karen Williams, David Williams, Daniel Williams, all of Pocola; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Williams of Pocola, Connie Cloud of Spiro; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Pocola.
Pallbearers will be Richard Williams, Randall Williams, David Williams, Daniel Williams, Randy Gunter, Matthew Gunter.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home in Pocola from 2-4 p.m. Sunday.
