The eighth annual Mark "Mud Duck" Sullivan Junior Golf Camp will take place Tuesday through Thursday at Choctaw Country Club. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Wednesday, while the final day of camp will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday. The camp is open to boys and girls of all ages. The LeFlore County Youth Services Golf Tournament and Dinner will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at Choctaw Country Club, with registration beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday and lunch will be provided.
The entry fee is $50 per person for the four-player scramble, which inlcudes one free mulligan. Extra mulligans will cost $5 each, with a limit of two per player. Entry forms can be picked up at the LCYS office or entry may be done prior to the start of the tournament.
Special guest for the event is Baseball Hall of Fame relief pitcher Rich “Goose” Gossage, who will be at both the golf tournament and the dinner, which will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Community State Bank Ops Center. An auction will take place prior to the golf tournament for the opportunity to play with Gossage, who will be speaking and signing autographs at the dinner that night.
