BARTLESVILLE — The Eastern Oklahoma Riverdawgs Major American Legion baseball team finished fourth at last weekend's Trophy Case Tournament. The Riverdawgs lost for the second time in the tournament to Three Rivers, falling 8-3 on Monday.
The ’Dawgs (2-2) took a 3-1 lead with a three-run fourth inning on an RBI double by Panama's Isaac Burris, an RBI triple by Wister's Caleb Hill and a passed ball, but that proved to be their only inning with runs.
Three Rivers scored once in the fifth inning, twice in the sixth inning and four runs in the seventh inning to get the come-from-behind victory.
In defeat, Hill was 3-for-3 with a triple, a run batted in and a run scored for the Riverdawgs. Cameron's Dale Pearson (0-1) suffered his first loss of the season.
The ’Dawgs will return to action today in a road doubleheader at Fort Smith (Ark.) Kerwins, beginning at 5 p.m.
