HOWE — Mother Nature has once again intervened in the Howe Wood Bat Classic.
After the first game of Thursday's slate of action, rain and threatening weather canceled the final three games of the tournament.
There will be six games on Friday beginning at 10 a.m.
The one game which did take place on Thursday saw the Cameron Yellowjackets rally to down the Howe Lions 10-7.
The three games which were postponed on Thursday — Leflore vs. Whitesboro, Wister vs. Clayton and Smithville vs. McCurtain — will be played at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., respectively, today.
Then, the three originally-scheduled consolation games will take place. Howe will play the Leflore-Whitesboro loser at 4 p.m., followed by the Wister-Clayton loser playing the Smithville-McCurtain loser at 6 p.m. The 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. winners will play for the consolation championship at 8 p.m.
The Saturday game times are still the same. Cameron will play the Leflore-Whitesboro winner at 1:30 p.m., followed by the Wister-Clayton winner facing the Smithville-McCurtain winner at 3:15 p.m. The two winners will play for the championship at 7 p.m., while the losers will play for third place at 5 p.m.
