About all that was lacking at Monday's “Pink-Out” breast cancer awareness softball game as singing pop star Pink to sing the national anthem.
With players and umpires wearing pink for the occasion, the Poteau Lady Pirates defeated the Red Oak Lady Eagles 5-2.
After the game, about 15 players from both teams, and Poteau coaches Misty Collins and Laney Groom, took part in a home run derby. Poteau senior right fielder Gabba Wilson and Collins tied with five homers, but Collins conceded the title to Wilson — who was presented a pink bat for her win.
