OKLAHOMA CITY — Not that it should come as any surprise, but newcomer Kevin Martin has been a welcome addition to the Oklahoma City Thunder team. He averaged more than 18 points a game with Houston and has already shown consistency on the court with his shooting and ball handling. After scoring 15 points, with three 3-point baskets and five assists in his first game and following that up with 19 points, three 3s, three rebounds and two assists against Portland in the Thunder's home opener Friday night, Martin really showed what he can do scoring Sunday night.
Martin scored a game-high 28 points, but the Thunder fell 104-95 to the Atlanta Hawks.
Martin hit 8-of-11 from the field including 6-of-8 on 3-pointers to lead all scorers.
