On Halloween night, we all went trick-or-treating in the Woods Addition. At the Repass house, Kevin and Val had a fire going, and they were making and handing out fresh s'mores along with their other Halloween candy. It was awesome. By the way, guys, I did go into your house and got a bottle of water. All that walking and talking to all those people made me so thirsty. Thanks again, guys.
I don't know how many different families I walked with because I lost my family in the crowd.
After that adventure, we came home and handed out candy until 9:30 p.m. All the kids toold me that a few streets over, Chad Yandell was grilling hot dogs at his house and was handing them out along with Halloween candy.
Bubba and Danette Benard were pulling a trailer full of kids around the neighborhood again, terrorizing everybody.
Then, the Landeros family showed up, and we played games until way past my bedtime — which is around no later than 10 p.m. However, we were all having so much fun, the fact I stayed up late (for me, that is) didn't bother me.
You know, I think we all should be off on Halloween, or at least the day after, so all the parents can recover. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I still feel like I'm in my 20s!
Good luck, fifth-grade Bandit League team in your title game on Saturday.
